The application must be completed and returned to the Personnel Department by the deadline established in the advertisement. Résumés alone are not acceptable; however, a résumé  may be returned with a completed application. TEMPORARY, PART-TIME AND/OR SEASONAL POSITIONS

 

 

PROGRAMMER- Fall Programs

$8.10 per hour 

 

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an individual to join the fall programming staff and work with boys and girls ages 3 ½ through 14.   The position will require flexible availability both mornings and afternoons with mainly weekend and some evening assignments.  The hours for this temporary position will average 6-8 per week.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, organizing and teaching/coaching multiple sport and recreational activities; and scorekeeping and officiating. Background in basketball and volleyball helpful; and a genuine interest in working with youth needed. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with training or practical experience in working with youth, and must have the ability to relate to and motivate young children.

Geographic Information System - Engineering Division

Part-Time Temporary Position

Rate: $11.50 per hour

 

The City of Bowling Green’s Engineering Division is seeking qualified applicants to fill a temporary-part-time, 24-hour per week position.  Assignment will last approximately 20 weeks with flexible start and end dates. Hourly rate is $11.50 per hour with no fringe benefits.   Will be responsible for assisting with GIS data creation and integration. Time will be split between office and field duties. Duties to include reviewing engineering plan data, scanning documents, comparing data from as-built drawings against the GIS database; collecting and verifying positions of electric, fiber, water and sewer features using GPS survey equipment.  Must have experience with ArcGIS Desktop. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation, familiarity with ArcGIS Server, MS SQL, and ArcGIS Online, and basic knowledge of PHP, Python, and HTML a plus.
