Advertising in the Public Right-of-Way
You do not need a permit to have a garage sale on your property.
However, if you plan to place signs in the public right-of-way
(generally the area between the street and the sidewalk), you do need a
permit. There is no charge for this type of permit.
See Section 115.02 of the Codified Ordinances for specific information
on advertising on public property.
The
permit application is available in PDF form by clicking here.
Permits may not be submitted electronically at this time. Directions
for submitting the application are outlined on the form.
