City Parks to be Rezoned to R/C Information

A new zoning district, called the Recreation-Conservation District was created in 2010 specifically for parkland.  It provides better protection for public parks and limits uses to those of a recreational or preservation nature.  The Parks & Recreation Department is applying to move all the city parks under this zoning and signage noting the change has been posted at each park.  Parks are currently under Residential, Institutional or Special Institutional zoning which permit many incompatible uses.  The new zoning language can be found at the City's website: www.bgohio.org.  Questions about the process can be directed to the Park Director, Michelle Grigore at mgrigore@bgohio.org or 419-354-6224.
