Musikgarten                                         musikgarten logo

Ages: 0 - 4.5

Location: Scout Building in City Park

 

Children love music. By focusing their natural inclination, Musikgarten classes help children develop a love of music and the skills to play it through a series of activity filled, age appropriate lessons. Classes are held at the Scout Building in City Park on Wednesdays and instructed by Susan West. Parents come learn more about the program at an introductory meeting held on Wednesday, February 1 at the same time the class will be at the Scout Building. Program fee includes a Family Packet: CD, Parent Book, Rhythm Sticks, Rattle and Scarf in a Cloth Bag. For more detailed information call Susan at The Studio Connection, 419-353-4176. 

 

My Musical World - Musikgarten

Ages: 6 months - 3 years

Location: Veteran's North in City Park

Children love music. By focusing their natural inclination, Musikgarten classes help children develop a love of music and the skills to play it through a series of activity filled, age appropriate lessons. Come build a special bond with your child through music as you both sing, bounce, rock and dance to songs from around the world. Classes are held at the Veteran's North Building in City Park on Monday evenings and instructed by Susan West. Program fee includes materials: a parent book and CD, rhythm sticks, rattle and scarf in cloth bag. Nature's Music - Musikgarten

Ages: 2-5 years

Location: Veteran's North in City Park

Children love music. Classes are held at the Veteran's North Building in City Park on Tuesday evenings and instructed by Susan West. Program fee includes materials: a parent book, CD and sandblocks. American Red Cross Babysitter Training Course

Ages: 11-15

Location: Simpson Meeting Room - 1291 Conneaut Ave

This course offered by the American Red Cross for youth ages 11 through 15 covers the skills necessary for the job of babysitting.  Skills covered will include: growth and development of children, play and appropriate toys, problem solving, feeding, dressing and diapering an infant, safety precautions, rescue breathing, and first aid skills for infants and children.  The course fee includes all books and materials.  Students must attend all of the sessions both days and should pack a lunch!

Fees: $44 Residents / $53 Non-Residents

Participants registering after 5/11 must pay a $5 late fee

Practice & Game Times

Practices will begin the week of May 21 at 5, 6 or 7 pm.

Games will begin the week of June 11 at 6 & 7 pm.

This program is non-competitive and each participant will receive a cap and t-shirt.   WE NEED VOLUNTEER COACHES!

NYSCA Coaches Training will be held on Wednesday, May 16th from 6-7 pm at the Bowling Green Community Center for new

coaches. Registration Deadline 5/18

 

 

 

 

Lacrosse Skills Clinic

Ages: 7-12

Location: Eli Joyce Field

in City Park

This program provides participants the opportunity to learn the game and acquire the skills to play lacrosse.  Participants will learn how to pass, catch, scoop, cradle, dodge and shoot through various small group drills.  One on one teaching will also occur to help the participants fine-tune these skills throughout the program.  Participants will get several touches on the ball and also learn the flow of the game, rules, terminology and more!   This program is also open to participants who have played the sport before and intend on improving their skills in the off-season.  Participants will be split accordingly based on playing experience or skill level. Instructors from the Bowling Green State University Lacrosse Club and the Bowling Green Warcats Club will be on hand each week with a wide knowledge of the sport.  Equipment will be provided.

 

 

Challenger British Soccer Camp

Ages: 3-18

Location: Dunbridge Soccer Fields

Days: Monday - Friday
