Wastewater Collection
The Bowling Green Wastewater Collection Division is responsible for
maintaining the sewage collection system, which entails fourteen (14)
sewage lift stations with 2 to 3 pumps in each station, ranging in size
from 4" to 6" pumps. The Division is responsible for maintaining
85 miles of sanitary sewers ranging in size from 6" to 108",
combination sewers, and 35 miles of storm sewers ranging in size from
6" to 60". The Wastewater Collection Division also mows and
maintains the ditches within the city limits.
The normal working hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00
p.m. If there is an emergency after normal working hours call the
Police Department at (419) 352-1131 and explain your emergency and they
will contact the proper authorities. The Sewer Division has
personnel on duty after hours and on weekends and holidays.
The Sewer Division is made up of a supervisor and 8 equipment
operators. The Superintendent is Harold Smith and the Supervisor is
Mike Kurfess.
