Water Quality
Water quality is one of the most important responsibilities of the
City of Bowling Green. The drinking water goes through a multi-step
purification process that takes several hours to complete. New
treatment technology utilizing activated carbon filtration and
ultraviolet disinfection is part of this process.
Certified personnel perform testing throughout the treatment process
and continuously monitor the plants efficiency to assure the City’s
drinking water will be of the highest quality.
Meeting and superseding the State and Federal Drinking Water Standards
is mandatory.
